Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, a tie against Croatia would be home as well. Given that the last time they played, it was in Croatia in 2006 where Chela won the fifth rubber.

Stepanek retired with a twisted ankle during a Challenger event, earlier this week. Should he be more seriously injured, the Czechs are in deep trouble, that's true.
Still, even if Argentina make the SF, they'll face either the USA or Croatia. And if I'm not mistaken, in both cases it would be an away tie for Argentina.

As for David, I've read an interview with Tito Vázquez somewhere (can't seem to find it again) where he said he's not planning with David this year. But expects him to come back next season.

It's nice to see official site offering news which are newx...not a copy of Clarin articles...they don't even answer mails...our Nalby seems determinated to comeback even if it'll be difficult with a low ranking in january (over 100th). He won't be able to defend the indoor season points so it will a difficult way to go back in top 30 but he's a strong mind
