Vamos David is still taking a break.

There's no news at the moment.
And I'm still rather busy.

But there are things that don't take much time to post.
- Photos.

Over the years, I've collected tons of them. Most of them I've used for the blog or uploaded in the Photo Archives.
But not all of them.
So here's a look back at some moments in David's career.

On the back then still green courts at Melbourne Park, 2004.

For David, playing and especially defending on clay was more of an "acquired taste". At Munich 2005, however, he won one of his altogether four clay-court titles (and a BMW, he must've liked that).

At the Cathedral of Tennis, also known as Wimbledon Centre Court. This match, quarterfinal 2005, was the last time David reached the second week at SW19.

Also at Wimbledon that year, David played against a promising youngster called Andy Murray - and had a much tougher time that he probably expected.

And I guess the same can be said about this match here... Australian Open semifinal 2006.

Two years later at Melbourne Park. The expectations were huge that year. The back problems that forced him to withdraw from Kooyong didn't help and went largely unnoticed by the public.

Training in Barcelona, 2009. Less than a month later he was back in Barcelona, though not to train...
A bit of a symbolic end to this first round but this is simply a great photo, I think.

More soon.
