On Hold (continued)

In the end, he came and he played a match after all. Or rather, a game - at the 5th Argentine Table Football Championships yesterday (plenty of photos on the Photo Page).

But apart from photographic evidence that David still exists, and that his hip and shoulder have healed
at least well enough to play table football, there's still no news, no interviews.

Update (24/07)
The Czechs have announced their line-up for the Davis Cup semifinal (September 13-15):
Tomas Berdych, Radek Stepanek, Lukas Rosol, Jiri Vesely and Jan Hajek.
In other words, unless something unforeseen happens Berdych and Stepanek will play the live rubbers.
On the Argentine side, the only thing that's definitive at this stage is that Pico will be on the team.

  1. At least he looks good and well minus that hat

  2. Glad David is keeping busy. As if there isn't enough to keep any new father busy. But while David dotes on Sossie, grinds away at rehab and indulges in table football, Argentina's second-tier players are flourishing. Charly Berlocq wins his first tour title, Federico Delbonis knocks off Federer, and of course Horacio Zeballos dumped Nadal earlier in the year. These things aren't flukes. Maybe there's a chance against the Czechs after all. Here's hoping. And then of course there's David. Another miracle? Who knows. At least we can hope.

  3. If only it was clay and the Parque Roca...
