Sweden's team will be led by Robin Söderling. With Andreas Vinciguerra and doubles experts Simon Aspelin and Robert Lindstedt completing the Swedish squad.
If Argentina lose this first-round tie, they run the risk of losing their place in the World Group, i.e. the group of nations competing in Davis Cup. In this case, Argentina would have to qualify for next year's competition at the World Group playoffs (September 17-19) against one of the top teams from the Zonal Groups.
(I initially thought they would lose an entire year, having to qualify again but that's not the case, as a look at the Davis Cup rulebook revealed.)
I'll keep track of what happens in Stockholm. I'm sure David will, too...

Update (24/02)
Here are some new quotes from David, who appeared on the show "Despertate" on TyC Sports to talk about the upcoming Davis Cup tie and the current state of his recovery...
It's a shame that I can't play Davis Cup. I would've really liked to play and I already missed out [on playing Davis Cup] last year.Talking about his latest injury and the current recovery, David admits he still has to adapt "better to playing competitive tennis" because...
Monaco, Mayer, Zeballos and Schwank are the best players we have at the moment. We'll have to see how the guys will adapt [to playing on hard court] after playing at Acapulco this week. For Pico, making this adjustment will perhaps be the most difficult. Zeballos, playing serve and volley, will have it easier and the same goes for Leo Mayer, who has been playing on hard court of late.
Basically no one [on the Argentine team] can really expect to beat Söderling. We'll have to go with a strategy that's about trying to win the other two singles and the doubles.
If we lose this tie, we'll have to play [the World Group] playoffs, something that hasn't happened since 2000, I believe. And nobody thinks about it now that for years the worst we've done has been reaching the quarter final.
It becomes normal that you have to win, normal to reach semis or the final, year after year. But those are also things that have to achieved. After Vilas, Argentina was in American Zonal Group most of the time before we managed to make it [to the World Group] again.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have suffered two tears within a month and a half. Everyone is aware of the risk during every match, every athlete knows the pain and how far they can push themselves. It's your subconscious and your desires that often betray you. Here's another one I just found, about how David sees his comeback so far...
Today I'll try [training] for 20 minutes to see how my body will react to it and also to see what progress I'm making during these two days of tennis in order to go back to practically normal training next week and then trying to play Indian Wells.
Had it [the injury] happened anywhere else I would've done what was necessary [to keep the injury from getting worse] because you say to yourself, I want to play the coming week and I'll play that tournament next. The thing is that only when my body cooled down [after the match] we realised that it was something 'serious'.
If at that moment [during the match] they would've told me to stop now or else I wouldn't be playing Davis Cup, then I would've done that, I would've stopped. But nobody has a crystal ball to know these things.
I was very happy with my level of playing. I still lack match practice and I have to improve physically. But fortunately, I haven't lost the timing [on my shots] and I was able to respond well in the decisive moments, especially in the second match.(Sources: Infobae.com & Clarin, thanks, Anna; and 26noticias.com.ar)

Pico and Soda played a really tough match for the Bastad Championship last July, so I would make him the favorite against Vinciguerra. The doubles match may be tough and Soda has a great Davis Cup record, so without David or Del Pony, this looks tough.
Pim Pim played really well in some tourney's back in October as a brief comeback and even recorded upsets over Hewitt (Kuala Lumpur) and Juan Monaco (Stockholm Open). But his wife just recently had their first child, so I'm not sure if he will make another comeback soon. But he is a dangerous player and probably good for Argentina that he decided not to play.
I have mixed emotions on this DC tie, as my favorite players come from both of these countries. I'd love to see another Nalby-Soda match-up, so I'm disappointed that won't happen.
Does anyone have the full match or know of links for David's Davis Cup QF win over Soderling in 2008? That is the match David won 6-4 1-6 4-6 6-4 9-7 and was very emotional at the end.
I have some great David vids that are not available on the web anymore and I could upload a couple of full David matches if there is some interest (Madrid SF 2007 with Nole comes to mind; 2003 4R win against Federer at the Australian Open; Entire Masters Cup Final 2005, etc.)
The problem for Argentina is that even if they win both singles rubbers against Vinciguerra there's still the doubles to think of. And Aspelin/Lindstedt will be the huge favourites against any Argentine team (it might be Mayer/Zeballos I guess).
Tim, I dont think I can help with the DC match vs Söderling. I've never seen it anywhere, neither on El Rincon, nor any of the video forums or torrent sites.
David talked today (I didn't watch it) on a tv show from TyC Sports.
Here's some articules about what he said:

Julia, it is hard to even find YouTube clips of it that are clear. It is so strange, because that was such a historical and exciting match. I think when David refers to playing on one leg for Argentina, many people may think of that match. lol
If anyone ever knows of this classic existing, please let me know.
Against Romania last year in the World Group Play-off, Soda won both singles rubbers in straight sets (Hanesku was routed 75 61 60), and then he won the doubles match in straight sets partnering with Robert Lindstedt because Vinciguerra had lost to Hanesku on Friday. So don't be surprised if Vinciguerra loses again if Wilander chooses Robin to team up with Lindstedt (now ranked 30th in doubles) or Aspelin (currently ranked 19th) again.
Correction: I guess Wilander stepped down from the DC Captain of Sweden after the World Group win over Romania and it is now Thomas Enqvist.
Leonardo Mayer is playing pretty well on the hard courts in the U.S. swing right now. He defeated Gulbis in San Jose and lost to Roddick; he defeated Mardy Fish in Memphis and lost to evenual Champion Querrey; and he won his first round match at Delray yesterday. He and Pico are pretty tough opponnents right now. The doubles match will probably be of huge significance.
Thanks for the great articles, Anna! Obviously, there is no way David could have known how serious it was, and he was playing in front of the home crowd for an ATP event; and Argentina doesn't have the luxury of multiple ATP events the way France or the U.S. does. It's hard to find any fault with his decision, so he should feel disappointment over regret.
No problem Tim, Vamos!!!
Has anyone heard any news about Pico? I saw him retire in the Acapulco semi last night. Is he going to be fit to play DC?
Right now, it's not clear whether Pico can play. He said after the match that he was in quite a lot of pain. And he thinks it's a tear...
Examination and tests today so we'll probably know more in the evening.
