No news of David at the moment. But there are a few things I'd like to say...
The coming months will be a difficult time. For David - but also for this blog. As there probably won't be much to report, apart from the occasional update about David's rehabilitation. I'll keep an eye on the Argentine press and post any news I can find. And I expect another round of articles and interviews when David arrives back home in Argentina.
But after that, chances are that there'll be longer periods without much happening.
Still, I'd like to try and keep Vamos David going. At a slower pace, perhaps. And of course posting all available news. But I'll also try to make the long wait for David's return a little easier. And less boring.
The first step, as already announced in the sidebar, will be the addition of the Vamos David Photo Archives, my collection of David pictures. I'm currently in the middle of organizing the files in a set of galleries. (Which is more work than I thought it would be.) As soon as those galleries are finished they'll be added as an extra section of Vamos David.
But I'm also thinking about and preparing other things...
I guess I'd just like to say that Arizona and I hope you'll stick around. :)
In the meantime, here's David (amongst other players), telling us what's his favourite book...
And for those, interested in seeing the man behind the name mentioned so often on this blog in the last couple of weeks, here's a video of Dr. Angel Ruiz-Cotorro...

The favourite book was a surprise. I couldn't understand the word he uses just before saying he likes LOTR. It sounds like "maniss". Is it his way of saying "many"?
Yeah. Though maybe it was supposed to be a plural of "many". Like, very many. :)
I was surprised by his choice, myself. Though very pleasantly so. Still, I would've liked to know his favourite Argentinean book, as well.
I'll be sticking around, both to hear all the news on David's recovery, and also to see your galleries, Julia. I'm also looking forward to seeing what else you have planned for the site. I'm glad you're keeping things going - it's very much appreciated.
I'm glad to hear David has better taste in books than many (manys?) of his fellow players. :)
I will definitely be looking forward to reading updates and seeing the photos galleries - thanks, Julia.
Thank you, joyce63 and Istabraq. :)
Good to hear that. And yeah, I will definitely keep things going.
The galleries take time to compile because I didn't start saving pics in an orderly fashion until last year. The rest is a huge mess I'm now trying to sort out.
But I also have other things in my archives, not just photos... Wait and see. ;)
"...photos galleries"...? I am really having trouble with (manys of) my plurals here. And this from a native English speaker. Oh well, at least I'm in good company. :)
Julia, your archives sound like an attic full of treasures. But I know what you mean about keeping pictures in an orderly fashion. I have folders within folders within folders... and still some escape.
Hi, everyone. Julia, thanks for the updates, as always. Looking forward to the plans you have for this site.
Lord of the Rings is David's favorite book: wow! That book was difficult for me to get into, never mind finish. This is coming from a former language arts teacher who had to teach books similar to this.
Actually, when I come to think about it, there is really quite a bit of hobbit in David. I can see how he might identify with those characters.
According to LA VOZ DEL INTERIOR, David is back in Cordoba and works with Diego...so i guess everything OK. By the way Hewitt won in 5 sets his first round ar RG...so it's possible to play 5 sets after a surgery..it does not mean tha Hewitt wil win RG but it's an interesting thing fot David...
Thanks, tennisace. New entry to follow soon...
